Lawrence 1970s Walking Tours
6/7/25 @ 8:00 am – 6/28/25 @ 9:00 am

Join Dr. Bob Dinsdale, local Lawrence history aficionado and tour leader, for a six-block walk through downtown Lawrence to learn about the social movements of the 1960s and 1970s that culminated in marches, riots, martial law, arson, and killings in our city of 45,000 souls.
With each hour-long tour I weave together the fascinating, remarkable and tragic stories of Lawrence and its people. An eye-opener, I hope, based on my experience living here and researching the history of this compelling place. – Dr. Bob Dinsdale
Tours happen every Saturday in June, 8 AM – 9 AM. Please register in advance.
This tour meets outside the front entrance of the Watkins Museum of History at 8 AM. Part of the Lawrence 1970s Project.

$15 – $25
