Bismarck Grove

Did you know North Lawrence was once home to one of the most beautiful nature parks and fair grounds in the state of Kansas? Bismarck Grove, established in 1867, hosted festivals, horse racing, and lectures, which brought thousands of people to Northeast Kansas. Learn more about the grove and how the railroad influenced its growth in this Time Capsule episode featuring women’s historian Dr. Sarah Bell.
