In this episode, Natalie discusses the debut of the Watkins Museum’s newest exhibit called On Two Fronts: Kansans Fighting the Great War and how visitors can earn a $5 ticket!

In this special three-part exhibit audiences will encounter the harrowing experiences of Kansans in WWI using first-hand accounts, artifacts, and interactives. The ticketed experience features the traveling exhibit, Life in the Trenches, developed by the Smoky Hill Museum, with two additional artifact-rich exhibits, How the War Was Told: Propaganda in WWI and Roll of Honor: The WWI Soldiers & Nurses of Lawrence developed by the Watkins Museum in partnership with the Spencer Museum of Art and the National World War I Museum and Memorial.

Time Capsule with KLWN’s Joel Becker and the Watkins Museum’s Natalie Vondrak explores the history of Lawrence or Douglas County and shares the stories of the people and events that have helped shape our community. The show airs the first Tuesday of the month during Radio for Grownups around 10:10 AM on FM 101.7 or AM 1320 KLWN.
