Quantrill’s Raid Victims Memorial and Historical Talk

Join us at the Watkins for the most moving, important event of Civil War on the Border.

After a reading by Anthony Boynton, writer and member of B.L.A.C.K. Lawrence, community leaders will read the names of known raid victims. This will be followed with a talk by historian Fred Whitehead on “The Union Cause in Missouri.” At the end of Fred Whitehead’s talk, one lucky audience member will be chosen at random to win a $25 gift card to The Merc Co-Op.

This event will be held in-person and livestreamed on the Watkins Museum Facebook and YouTube.
