From a young age, Gillian loved asking “why?” and never tired of hearing the answers she would get from her family, teachers, or anyone who would entertain her questions. This early curiosity culminated into a love for history, research, reading, and art. Gillian received a bachelor’s degree in art history with minors in both classical studies and history from Kansas State University in 2022 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in art history at the University of Kansas. She grew up in Manhattan, Kansas and is passionate about her home state’s storied history. Gillian is excited for the opportunity to learn more and help answer the Lawrence community’s various curiosities and “why’s” in her position as Research Assistant.
